Sean Monahan contributed a goal and an assist, while Kent Johnson scored in his second consecutive game, pushing his points streak to nine games. For Chicago, Connor Bedard achieved a power-play goal and an assist, but the team suffered its second consecutive loss. Elvis Merzlikins recorded 28 saves for Columbus, and Petr Mrazek made 30 saves for Chicago. Johnson has earned points in all nine games he's participated in this season.
