Stevenson Lorentz and goalie Dennis Hildeby played pivotal roles in the Toronto Maple Leafs' 4-2 win against the New Jersey Devils. In his NHL debut, Hildeby made 22 saves, while Lorentz contributed with a goal and an assist. Under the guidance of former Maple Leafs coach Sheldon Keefe, the Devils failed to take advantage of five power plays and allowed Toronto to block 27 shots.
