Bobby McMann scored the decisive shootout goal in the fourth round to lift the Seattle Kraken to a 4-3 victory over the Detroit Red Wings at Climate Pledge Arena on Tuesday.

Seattle built a 3-0 cushion through the first two periods. Mackie Samoskevich opened the scoring at 6:45 of the first period with a wrist shot set up by Chandler Stephenson. Ryker Evans widened the gap unassisted on a power play at 3:22 of the second period, and Brandon Montour collected his first goal of the season at 16:01 with a snap shot assisted by Berkly Catton.

Detroit answered by scoring three times in the third period to force overtime. Viktor Arvidsson beat Philipp Grubauer at 6:25 off passes from Emmitt Finnie and Anton Johansson, followed 59 seconds later by Lucas Raymond's first goal of the season on a power play. Alex DeBrincat forced extra time with a wrist shot on another power play with 17 seconds left in regulation, converting passes from Dylan Larkin and Raymond.

Grubauer made 22 saves on 25 shots through regulation and overtime before stopping three of Detroit's four shootout attempts. Daniil Tarasov stopped 24 of 27 shots in the loss for Detroit. On special teams, the Red Wings converted two of four opportunities on the power play, while the Kraken scored on one of three chances.

The victory moved Seattle to 6-3-1 on the season and completed a two-game sweep of Detroit, having beaten the Red Wings 6-3 on October 9. Detroit's record moved to 3-3-3 following the shootout loss.

Both teams return to the ice on Thursday. The Kraken host the Utah Mammoth at 10:00 PM ET, while the Red Wings visit the Vancouver Canucks at 10:00 PM ET.
