In the fifth game of the Western Conference semifinals, Colorado outperformed Dallas, clinching a 5-3 win.
Cale Makar netted two goals for the Avalanche, while Casey Mittelstadt's decisive goal in the final period was key to the victory. This triumph halted Colorado's three-game losing streak and kept them in the series, although Dallas leads with a scoreline of 3-2.
Makar emphasized the game's critical nature, stating that the team rallied together and pushed Dallas into a corner.

Dallas' coach Pete DeBoer commended the Avalanche for stepping up their game and having their key players make significant contributions.
Alexandar Georgiev, the goalkeeper for Colorado, made 23 saves, whereas Dallas' Jake Oettinger stopped 22 shots.
Scoring for the Stars were Joe Pavelski, Miro Heiskanen, and Logan Stankoven, with Jason Robertson assisting twice.
The sixth game is scheduled to take place in Denver, where previously Dallas had a significant scoring advantage against Colorado, boasting a 4-1 record on the road this postseason.
