The Seattle Kraken visit the Florida Panthers on Saturday, October 17, 2026. Game time is set for 6:00 PM ET as the clubs meet for the first time during the 2026-2027 regular season.
Florida enters the matchup with a 4-2-2 record and has won two straight games. The Panthers earned a 7-3 victory at the Columbus Blue Jackets before claiming a 3-2 overtime win against the Vancouver Canucks in their most recent contest. Prior to those victories, Florida dropped a 4-1 decision at home to the Minnesota Wild and fell 5-3 at the Buffalo Sabres after opening that five-game span with a 2-1 win at the Los Angeles Kings.
Seattle carries a 5-2-1 mark into the game after earning a point in a 4-3 overtime loss at the Tampa Bay Lightning. Before that defeat, the Kraken picked up three consecutive road wins by beating the Detroit Red Wings 6-3, the Washington Capitals 5-3, and the Philadelphia Flyers 3-2 in a shootout. Seattle began that stretch with a 6-2 home loss against the Vegas Golden Knights.
Injuries affect the roster choices for both teams on Saturday. Seattle plays without defenseman Brandon Montour, who left the overtime loss at Tampa Bay with a lower-body injury, while Jacob Melanson and Ryan Lindgren remain out due to upper-body injuries. The Kraken summoned defenseman Ty Nelson from the AHL to bolster their blue line. For Florida, goaltender Jacob Markstrom is slated to start after sitting out two games, whereas defenseman Radko Gudas will miss the contest with a lower-body issue alongside Aleksander Barkov, Brad Marchand, and Jonah Gadjovich.
