Jakob Chychrun played a pivotal role for the Washington Capitals with his overtime goal and assist, securing a 5-4 win against the New York Islanders.

On the Islanders' side, Simon Holmstrom scored two goals, while Anders Lee, Kyle MacLean, and Isaiah George also found the back of the net. Semyon Varlamov made 21 saves but couldn't prevent the loss.

Looking ahead, the Islanders are set to host Buffalo, while the Capitals will visit New Jersey.
