In an unforeseen turn of events, the Florida Panthers were bolstered by the return of Carter Verhaeghe, their second most prolific scorer, for the last regular-season game against the Toronto Maple Leafs.
Having been sidelined due to an injury, Verhaeghe's comeback is pivotal for the Panthers in their quest to clinch the Atlantic Division title.
However, while Verhaeghe steps back into the lineup, Oliver Ekman-Larsson will be absent due to an upper-body injury. In his debut season with Florida, Ekman-Larsson has made significant contributions to the team.
